Having my photography featured as the lead image in PaperCity Magazine’s coverage of Ashley Longshore’s unforgettable moment at New York Fashion Week is a rewarding example of the power of visual storytelling. Published in September 2019, the article captured Longshore’s rise as fashion’s unexpected star, highlighting her collaboration with designer Dennis Basso, her larger-than-life personality, and her groundbreaking role as Fashion Week’s first official artist-in-residence.

My photography helped bring this story to life by capturing the spectacle, personality, and artistry that made the event so memorable. As the article’s lead image, my photograph established the visual tone immediately, drawing readers into a story where fashion, contemporary art, and individual expression collided. Beyond documenting the runway, the imagery captured a defining moment in which Longshore challenged traditional fashion norms and became the centerpiece of an extraordinary Fashion Week finale.

For me, seeing my work lead a published feature reinforces what I value most as a photographer: creating compelling imagery that does more than document an event. It captures its energy, elevates its narrative, and helps preserve the moments that define fashion and culture.
